Sustainability How We Work

We are dedicated to our vision: racing to bring sustainable infrastructure to a global audience

Our story

Network Operational Data develops, builds, owns, operates, and maintains critical infrastructure that supports the present and future of society. Sustainability has been a core purpose since our inception.

Infrastructure is vital for economic growth, human welfare, and as the backbone for enabling the green shift. We are on a mission to create pathways toward a desirable and sustainable future.

Our sustainability framework

At Network Operational Data, sustainability is defined through an ESG lens—encompassing Environmental, Social, and Governance factors. We adopt a precautionary approach to environmental challenges and undertake initiatives that promote responsible business practices.

Our framework consists of four key pillars: Location, Asset, Ecosystem, and Society. While each focus area is distinct, they are interlinked, ensuring that equal emphasis is placed on all aspects of sustainability.

Bulk has developed a sustainability framework on how we work with sustainability that consists of the perspectives; LocationAssetEcosystem and Society.

Although each of the focus points of our framework is individually defined, they are not mutually exclusive. This means that we place equal emphasis on all of them in our sustainability efforts.

Location

Strategic placement of infrastructure is critical to sustainability. We evaluate regions for renewable energy availability, political stability, and low climate risks. Serbia’s growing potential in renewable energy and its strategic position in Southeast Europe offer opportunities for building sustainable solutions from day one.

Asset

For every asset we develop, build, and operate, we focus on resource optimization and scaling positive impact. This includes:

  • Climate mitigation
  • Energy efficiency
  • Environmental protection
  • Material management
Our facilities are designed to meet strict environmental and social standards, ensuring a minimal carbon footprint.

Ecosystem

We recognize that true sustainability requires collaboration. By working with partners, customers, suppliers, and employees, we aim to redefine operations as part of an interconnected system. Initiatives include participation in circular industry clusters and heat reuse for local communities.

Society

As part of a broader ecosystem, we emphasize social responsibility and governance. Our initiatives are designed to deliver positive social impact while adhering to principles of good governance. From supporting local communities to creating employment opportunities, we strive to contribute meaningfully.

We Support the UN Global Compact

The UN Global Compact is a corporate initiative established by the United Nations in 2000. Participation in this initiative represents a commitment to align business strategies and operations with ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption.

As part of the UN Global Compact, Network Operational Data pledges to provide an annual report—known as the Communication on Progress (CoP)—to demonstrate our adherence to these principles and our contribution to corporate social responsibility.
